This seaweed was traditionally used to make a seaweed tea, it can be fried or boiled and make a nice sea vegetable dryed ground and used as a supplement, this is the seaweed you get when you buy kelp tablets.

This is a mid to low tide seaweed it can grow 15 ft long and live for 20 years
i only harvest the new growth on this weed as it can get tuff as it gets older
celebrity chef Brian Turner had a surprised look on his face when he was asked to use this seaweed on Ready steady cook at the NEC. he chopped and boiled the rock weed and served it with lamb and potatoes.
